SeniorTest compared five personal alarms on the Swedish market and ranked MiniFinder Watch highest in the test. Watch was named both Best in Test 2026 and the best choice for active seniors.
What they highlight most is the GPS positioning, SOS button, automatic fall detection and the fact that the watch can also be used outside the home.
In the test, Watch is described as a personal alarm in watch format that can be used both at home and while out and about. Family members can see the user’s location in MiniFinder Live, and it is also possible to create geofenced areas and receive an alert if the user leaves a selected area.
SeniorTest also highlights the SOS button and automatic fall detection as important features. This means the user does not always need to be able to reach for a mobile phone or make a call themselves.
They also highlight the watch format. Since the alarm is worn on the wrist, it is easy to keep with you throughout the day, whether at home, out for a walk or running errands.

This is where Watch differs from many more traditional personal alarms. A stationary alarm is often connected to the home or a base station. Watch instead uses the mobile network and GPS.
This means the alarm can go wherever the user goes. If an alarm is activated, selected contacts can receive the alert and see where the person is at the same time.
Two-way communication also makes it possible to speak directly through the watch.
The idea behind Watch is that it should not be left sitting on a table at home or only used on certain occasions. It should be worn on the wrist throughout the day and be there if something happens.
That is why we have brought together features such as SOS alerts, fall detection, positioning and calls directly in the watch.
