MiniFinder Hunter is a free hunting app that brings your dog trackers, hunting team and hunting grounds together in one place. You can follow your dog and hunting companions in real time, use topographic hunting maps and plan hunts directly from your phone. MiniFinder dog trackers work together with Hunter to give you a clear overview of your dog’s location and movements throughout the hunt.
MiniFinder Hunter has now been updated with several new features, making it even easier to prepare for, manage and review your hunts.
The new file storage feature gives your hunting team a shared folder system directly in MiniFinder Hunter. You can keep documents, instructions and other important information for upcoming hunts together in one place.
By creating folders and uploading files, everyone in the team can quickly find what they need instead of having information spread across different chats and channels.
If you use Garmin equipment while hunting, you can now view your Garmin tracker directly in MiniFinder Hunter. Connect the tracker through a compatible Garmin watch and it can then be displayed alongside your MiniFinder dog trackers in the Hunter app.
This gives you a better overview during the hunt and reduces the need to switch between different apps.
We have improved the way hunting grounds and geofences are drawn and edited. It is now easier to move and adjust points directly on the map when an area needs to be changed. Simply press and hold the point you want to adjust and drag it into position, rather than having to redraw the entire area.
You can also export your tracking history as a KML file if you want to use the location data in other compatible mapping services or for documentation.
Getting everyone together for a hunt should be simple. We have therefore made several improvements to the way hunting teams and members are managed, making it easier to share responsibility and quickly add the right people to the team.
You can now:
There is no longer any need to switch off your tracker separately. You can now power off your dog tracker directly from the app once the hunt or training session is over. It is a small feature that makes managing your tracker that little bit easier.
Know your tracker is nearby but can’t remember exactly where you left it? The new Bluetooth feature lets you search for your MiniFinder device directly from the Hunter app.
This makes it easier to find your tracker among your hunting equipment or whenever you know it is somewhere close by. You can access the feature from the device panel for the dog tracker you want to locate.
The update also includes a number of smaller changes designed to make the app easier and smoother to use. These include improvements to the user interface and overall user experience, along with ongoing bug fixes and performance improvements.
Make sure you are using the latest version of MiniFinder Hunter to access all the new features.

Yes. MiniFinder Hunter uses map layers that are regularly updated by our map providers. The maps and available layers vary by country.
In Sweden, for example, the app includes topographic maps, property boundaries and orthophotos, providing a detailed overview of the hunting grounds. In other countries, the available map layers may differ depending on the map data available for that market.
Where these detailed layers are available, they provide more hunting-specific information than apps that mainly rely on standard maps, making it easier to plan and navigate during the hunt.
